Today we created Snow Scenes using the medium of chalk. We began by brainstorming all the possible winter activities that we could enjoy. Then we proceeded to design our favorite winter activity. We laminated our completed scene so that it could be used at home as a place mat.
We read the selection, “The Mitten” and began to design our own mitten. Tomorrow we will re-read the story and place all the animals into the completed mitten. This allows the child the opportunity to re-tell the story to their family.
To date we have learned the following letters: F, E, D, P, B, R, N, M, H, R and L. Daily home practice would be very beneficial.
To date we have learned the numbers 0 – 10. Daily home practice would be very beneficial.
Some children are still unable to spell their name and recognize the letters in their name. Daily home practice would be very beneficial.
